Experience:
· 7+ years of experience in the design of SMPS
· Excellent understanding of the basic switched mode converter topologies (Buck, Flyback, ACF, PFC, LLC), as well as semiconductor devices and magnetics
· Good understanding about system design tradeoff, transformer design, and EMI noise reduction
· Experience in printed circuit board (PCB) design, EMI, EMC and safety regulatory compliance
· Knowledge of simulation tool (such as Mathcad, PSpice, Simplis, or Saber) is highly desirable
· Excellent written and oral communications
· Power IC definition experience is a Plus
Responsibilities:
· Work with IC designers on new product development and research new applications for new generations of company IC products.
· Design and develop switching power supply using the company's products for design ideas, or customer requirements such as providing power supply prototype, bill of materials (BOM) and test/evaluation reports.
· Evaluate switching power supplies built with the company's products.
· Provide switching power supply design support and technical advice to the company's customers.
